This free summer concert series is hosted by the Independence Visitor Center. Every Thursday this summer from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., come out to the Center and hear classic tunes from local live artists, bands and multi-cultural entertainers who will perform a variety of genres such as oldies, jazz, blues, Motown, American classic, soft rock and reggae.
The event takes place on the lawn of the Independence Visitor Center. Independence Al Fresco, our new outdoor cafe, will be open for your dining pleasure. Click here for event flyer.
Performances
August 21 - Billy Ray & Real Trouble, a high-energy Blues Rockin' band performing a unique mix of Rock, Southern Rock, and Blues Rock. Features the tunes of the blues rock genre including: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Black Crowes, and others.August 28 - Final Cut, a trio that has a very full sound, covering familiar, fun music from the 40's until present. The engaging band has a get-up-and-move-to-the-beat sound.
