The American Revolution

The road to the American Revolution led in and out of Philadelphia.  Take a half-a-day or whole day and explore the sites of the Continental Congress, the room where the Declaration of Independence was signed, portraits of the movers and shakers of Philadelphia in the 1770, and more.

Before you leave for the trip, introduce the students to vocabulary and events.

The Trip
Route 1 is perfect for the class who is in town for 3-4 hours.  Route 2 takes a whole day and even can go into the evening with a special light show.   Obviously the season affects the time as lines may grow in April and May.
