Creating A New Nation
Philadelphia is the city that forged a new nation – home to the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War, capitol of the United States from 1790-1800, birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Before you leave for the trip, introduce the students to vocabulary and events.

The Trip
Route 1 is perfect for the class who is in town for 3-4 hours. Route 2 takes a whole day and even can go into the evening with a special light show. Obviously the season affects the time as lines may grow in April and May.
