Independence Visitor Center Corporation has an opening for a part-time working inspector/supervisor in our Maintenance/Housekeeping department. The ideal candidate is a pro-active individual who possesses good leadership experience and interpersonal skills; has the ability to maintain a first-class facility; and has a proven track record for quality control. This hands-on position is responsible for the overall care and maintenance of the facility, external grounds, as well as for providing physical support/assistance to all departments, as need. Evening hours Sunday through Wednesday with some Thursday evenings required. Excellent rate w/benefits. EOE

MARKETING DEPARTMENT INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Support marketing efforts in writing, proofreading and editing for various collateral pieces, selecting photos; letter writing, PowerPoint presentations. Candidate should be prepared to gain experience in a full service marketing operation and be willing to execute a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:
• Assistance on presentation materials and other internal documents
• Assist in planning and implementation of special events
• Assist in drafting media alerts and news releases; assist in coordination and execution of press events
• Compile press kits; organize marketing materials; maintain clips books; assist in monitoring and tracking press coverage
• Other duties as designated

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidate must be highly motivated and organized
• Must possess strong writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• A background or major in marketing, tourism, or hospitality preferred.
