Montgomery County/Valley Forge
Make sure to take a trip to Valley Forge and surround yourself with American history.
Valley Forge National Historical Park is a 3,600 acre park filled with rolling hillsides. The Park is a reminder of freedom won by men’s sacrifice and was the location where General George Washington forged his Continental Army into a fighting force. The Park is also a reminder of our nation’s diversity with Washington’s troops being the most racially integrated of any army our country fielded up until Vietnam.
Walk through the Brandywine Battlefield Park which was used as headquarters by General Washington and quarters by General Lafayette during the largest battle of the American Revolutionary War. The Battlefield includes a visitor center with a museum exhibit, video and gift shop.
For outdoor enthusiasts, go for a bike ride or hike in Evansburg Sate Park or enjoy a guided tour on horseback through the Park.
