The oldest natural history museum in the Americas was established in 1812, and it moved to its current location in 1876. In addition to Dinosaur Hall, one of the leading permanent exhibits on paleontology in the country, the attractions include a world-class collection of animal habitat dioramas, a Live Animal Center, and the region's largest indoor exhibit of live tropical butterflies.
